The Orange County Florida Sheriff’s Department maintains a world-class training center with firing ranges, ammo, weapons and vests that are utilized by personnel being trained, certified and for global competitions of law enforcement forces.  The Orange County Corrections Department (OCCD) facility includes 4,500 jail cells, 1,200 security personnel and approximately ninety (90) different types of lethal weapons, weapon attachments, non-lethal weapons, magazines, ammo boxes, tactical gear, assets and similar items that are used by the forces to provide security. 

OCCD facilities include two (2) primary armories at the main site.  These armories are equipped with the WeaponsTracker Armory Management software and hardware:

• USB RFID-Barcode Scanners for Issues and Turn-ins

• Tablets for Issues, Turn-ins, inventories and to locate needed items

The core capability of the WeaponsTracker system for the Orange County Corrections Department’s armory management system is streamline, intelligent tracking of weapons, gear, ammo and personnel for Issue and Turn-in of armory items:

• Tracking of armory items is at windows and with tablets within armories
• Personnel are identified by PIN # and authenticated by the software
• The weapons assigned to officers and weapon certifications are validated
• Posts are identified and all required weapons, gear and ammo listed
